What started out as a showroom for a brewing equipment manufacturer developed into a pioneer of the German craft beer movement after a very short time. We are talking about the Bavarian brewery Camba, which is not only home to countless excellent craft beers, but also produced a whole range of great brewers.
In order to impressively present the functionality of its brewing systems to its customers, the brewing equipment manufacturer BrauKon decided in 2008 to build a showroom with a fully functional brewing system. Truchtlaching, a district of Seeon, is located in the idyllic district of Traunstein. Here Markus Lohner, founder of BrauKon, bought the old mill on the banks of the Alz and equipped it with a state-of-the-art brewing system. An innovative show brewery with the latest technology was created. The name Camba refers to the centuries-old brewing tradition in Bavaria and was previously used as a name for the brewing room in monasteries. Camba Bavaria was born and brewing could begin. However, the first brews in BrauKon's showroom were so successful that the brewing equipment manufacturer soon considered not only sharing the beer with potential customers. Markus Lohner decided to give the small brewery a chance and launched the beers brewed in the showroom on the market. His courage was rewarded and Camba Bavaria had to be expanded after a very short time. The second location in Seeon now houses the brewery plant and a state-of-the-art brewery where Camba Bavaria's beers are brewed.
Since then, Camba has stood for good, Bavarian beer. The brewery practices honest brewing craft based on rich tradition and the wealth of experience of countless generations of brewers. With a great spirit of discovery and the unique cultural landscape of Bavaria as inspiration, the team brews beers with character. The brewers combine brewing tradition with innovation and the latest technology. The result is a wide range of the finest beers, catering to every taste with classic Bavarian beer styles, creative craft beers and real beer specialties such as wooden barrel-aged beers. Because Camba was founded out of a brewing plant production, the brewery has an incomparable network in the beer business and can fall back on a huge treasure trove of experience, knowledge and know-how. The customer benefits along the entire length and receives a product that has been made from hand-picked raw materials in outstanding quality using innovative technology and traditional brewing art. It doesn't get any better than that. Camba's range includes around 40 different specialty beers, which have earned the team a reputation as one of the most creative breweries in Germany.
