Like many other breweries, Kuehn Kunz Rosen also has a beer in its range that was specially made to sweeten the cold season. Winter beers are flavor-intensive creations that are usually peppered with festive spices and are so strong that they warm up body and soul. The perfect pleasure for bitterly cold January days, rainy November weeks, Christmas and the unfortunate occasions when snow falls again at the end of March.
The Kuehn Kunz Rosen brewery is known for its exciting beers and has brought even more experts on board for the "Winter Beer" project: The Black Rose brewers added their mustard and, together with their colleagues, developed a beer that was spicy, wintry, is highly aromatic and dangerous to drink.
The beer with the aptly named Schrille Nacht flows into the glass in golden amber and shimmers magnificently copper when the light falls. A crown of dense, snow-white foam sits enthroned on the beer and gives off a seductive scent of resinous pine forest, fiery spices and caramel. The initial taste follows this olfactory symphony and caresses the palate with warm notes of spicy pine resin, allspice, cardamom and melt-in-the-mouth caramel. There is also an interesting potpourri of tropical fruits, which gives the festive mix a fresh lightness. A strong bitterness elegantly rounds off the unconventional play of aromas.
Schrille Nacht is an unusual winter beer that has something in store for every taste with juicy fruit, spices and herbaceous pine.
