As a rule, ten horses would not bring us to a lonely island with man-eating primeval monsters, even if this is advertised as a thrilling attraction and is really well attended. If the voracious dinosaurs are as delicious as the Frenzel Tyranno Saurator, then we would even risk our own heads for it. Literally!
Joking aside. The Tyranno Saurator is not a beast of long forgotten times, but a powerful bock beer. There is a dinosaur park very close to the brewery, to which the brewers of the Frenzel Bräus wanted to dedicate a beer. And what goes better with the most majestic of all dinosaurs than an intense bock beer with 6.4% alcohol and a true truckload of intense flavors?
In the glass, the king of beers presents itself in a deep dark amber tone with mahogany-colored reflections. A seductive scent of caramel, crispy bread crust, roasted nuts and fine liquorice rises from the crown of hazelnut-brown foam. There is a hint of candied berries and makes you look forward to the first sip. This reveals a voluminous body with a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. The initial taste is malty and tastes wonderfully like roasted grain. Gradually, notes of freshly brewed coffee, dried forest berries, strong sourdough bread and melt-in-the-mouth chocolate round off the play of aromas. A good bit of bitterness elegantly balances the malt sweetness and turns the goat into a delight.
We would even invite this dinosaur to our home!
