The gates of the tenth Bierothek® Filale opened on October 22nd, 2018 - in the fan-shaped city of Karlsruhe. Most of the property, where the Bierothek® Karlsruhe has opened for you since then, will still be known as the Oxford Store.
But now our first Bierothek® Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg finally has a strong partner with the Bierothek® Karlsruhe to make the beautiful "Ländle" happy with the finest craft beer. Just like in all other Bierothek® branches, there is a large Bierothek® selection in the Bierothek® Karlsruhe. Here you can find the right one for you from over 300 different beer specialties , beer products and gifts - with the help of our motivated staff, who will always advise you and answer any questions about beer! On October 22nd 2018 the tenth Bierothek® store opened it's doors to welcome fellow beer lovers. What most people from Karlsruhe knew as Oxford store is now the city's first very own Bierothek®. Now Baden-Württemberg not only has one but two Bierothek® stores: one in Stuttgart and the brand-new one in Karlsruhe. With Karlsruhe at its side, Stuttgart now has a powerful ally to delight and supply the beautiful “Ländle” with the finest craft beers. Bierothek® Magazin: Which beer is your favorite beer? Christian: "The last one was always the best beer! The great thing about the different styles is that I can choose the right beer for every mood. But I can hardly pass a stout, especially the Black Isle Brewery 'Oatmeal Stout Barrel Aged I love Islay Edition from Scotland. "

Bierothek® Magazin: Which is the most extraordinary beer in the Bierothek® Karlsruhe?
Christian: "The Sakiškių alus Sour New England Vanilla Marshmallow IPA with the pale pink label. Unfiltered, slightly sour and also sweet. A palate flatterer that seduces, amazes and fascinates at the same time."

Bierothek® Magazin: Which beer do you recommend to craft beer newbies?
Christian: "After the first anamnesis, I first try to build on existing preferences and expand them with flavor alternatives. Christian: "That must have been a Tuborg during a vacation in Denmark. I was allowed to take the last sip from a wheat beer glass, which ended up almost completely on my shirt because of the excitement. Dortmunder Kronen Pils was later my first own bottle."

Bierothek® Magazin: How and when did you come across the topic of "beer"?
Christian: "As a native of Dortmund, beer was always omnipresent, from 16 on it was also tasty."

Christian: "It's the perfect symbiosis of hobby and job (ung). A work environment that I really enjoy and in which you get to know interesting people. And it doesn't matter if I have to take work home with me."

The amazing thing about the different styles we offer is, that I can find an apt beer for whatever mood I'm currently in. But stouts mean an irresistible temptation to me: I especially fell for Black Isle Brewery's Oatmeal Stout Barrel Aged Islay Edition from Scotland. "

Bierothek® Magazin: What is the most sublime beer at Bierothek® Munich? Christian: “Sakiškių alus Sour New England Vanilla Marshmallow IPA with the tender pink label. It's unfiltered, slightly sour and concurretly sweet. A treat that is seducing, surprising and intriguing at the same time. "

Bierothek® Magazin: Which beer would you recommend the rookies among fellow craft beer drinkers? Christian: “After a careful anamnesis I at first try to tie in with existing preferences and expand these by bringing in flavor alternatives. If you're going for a hoppy tendency, Emma's “Heimspiel” is an adequate candidate for a smooth first encounter. Additionally, I usually recommend doing the beer tasting in groups of several people and trying various different styles to foster a shared experience of pleasurable flavors and aromas. "

Bierothek® Magazin: What was the first beer you took a sip from? Christian: “I suppose that was a Tuborg during a vacation in Denmark. I was allowed to take the last sip of wheat beer from a mug. I was so excited that instead of reaching my mouth almost every drop landed on my shirt. Later, Kronen Pils from Dortmund was the first bottle of beer I drank on my own. "

Bierothek® Magazin: How and when did you develop an interest for beer? Christian: “I was born in Dortmund, so beer was always omnipresent. When reaching the age of 16 I finally started to like the taste of it. "

Bierothek® Magazin: What does being a store manager at Bierothek® mean to you? Christian: “It's the perfect symbiosis of hobby, passion and profession. Bierothek® offers a work environment that is great fun and that enables me to meet interesting people. And taking some work home from time to time is really not bad at all. "
