Everyone knows Snow White and the seven dwarfs, but it's Pierre, Chris and their seven goblins who should be known! At least if you like to drink artisanal beer from Belgium.
From mother-in-law's garage into the world
Pierre and Chris are brothers-in-law and share a common passion: beer. The two of them had already scraped together all their savings at the end of the 1970s to buy a small brewery for the garage. The first almost 50 liters of beer are brewed in the 80s, Pierre and Chris are hooked. The home-brewed beer is not only tasty for them and so they founded their own brewery in 1986 and plunged into the beer business full-time. Constantly at your side are the goblins, which are symbolic of the beers from the D'Achouffe house and are very typical of the region in which Chris and Pierre are at home. Mythical creatures of all kinds feel at home in the mystical landscape of the Ardennes and are the protagonists of countless legends and sagas. A leprechaun also adorns the logo of the Brasserie D'Achouffe. Rumor has it that Chris and Pierre found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, however, we believe their huge success is simply due to their great beers. The two Belgians are not only masterful storytellers, but also first-class brewmasters.
With a little help from my friends
After Pierre and Chris started officially brewing their beer, the beer world quickly noticed them. The microbrewery in my mother-in-law's garage became an internationally sought-after business. With all the fame and honor, Pierre and Chris remain down-to-earth and humble: The two take care of the reforestation of their Belgian homeland and honor the legends and traditions of their ancestors. With great attention to detail, they have dedicated their individual beers to dwarfs, whose stories can be found on the website. Marcel, for example, is the main goblin and always employee of the month at Brasserie D'Achouffe. He rides on the back of a goose to bring the good beer to the people. He promotes the barley juice with a lot of passion and commitment and likes to dip his beard in a cool glass of Chouffe Soleil himself. If you work, you can treat yourself to something - these goblins know how to enjoy life!
The Brasserie D'Achouffe is a Belgian brewery that brews excellent, modern beers based on the traditions and customs of their country and always surprises us with their hoppy creations!
