Anheuser-Busch is a name that runs like a common thread through the international beer landscape. The Anheuser-Busch-InBev group of companies is a public company that has more than 150 breweries worldwide under its umbrella. The group is one of the largest and most successful beer producers on the planet and operates popular brands such as Budweiser , Stella Artois and Bosteels . The company's namesake is the American brewery Anheuser-Busch, which was taken over by InBev in 2008 and has been an integral part of the company ever since.
A significant key figure in brewery history is Eberhard Anheuser. Born in Rhineland-Palatinate, he emigrated to the United States with his brother in 1842 and earned his money as a candle manufacturer and soap maker before deciding to change industries in 1959. He bought the financially troubled Bavarian Brewery in St. Louis and got it back on track. When his daughter Lilly married Adolphus Busch, the new son-in-law joined the company. Adolphus sold brewery supplies and this is how he met Eberhard and his daughter. He fell in love not only with Lilly, but also with the brewery and brought the company ever-increasing success over the following decades. To properly recognize his efforts, his name was included in the brewery's title. Until his death, Adolphus worked tirelessly to establish Anheuser-Busch as a nationally known force. His memory is honored to this day.
The brewery empire now includes many brands, but the best-known is probably Budweiser. This hugely popular label enjoys international fame and brews classics like the fluffy Bud Light . All brewing pieces are based on hand-picked raw materials. Most of the ingredients grow on American soil and are of the best quality. The brewery has accumulated a wealth of experience in its almost 175-year history and invests in continuous research and development. A host of expert brewers do their best every day to maintain the high level of quality and taste. Community also plays a significant role in its mission: Anheuser-Busch aims to lead by example and make a difference in ways both small and large. Employees, suppliers and business partners are paid fairly and treated like a family, the brewery supports communities, sponsors clubs and supports charitable causes and has thousands of employees worldwide whose satisfaction is a matter of the heart. The brewery is committed to responsible alcohol consumption and works on sustainable concepts to keep the negative impact on the environment as low as possible.
