The picturesque village of Grasmannsdorf is not far from Bamberg, in the triangle between Burgebrach, Walsdorf and Frensdorf. Grasmannsdorf is officially part of Burgebrach and has almost 300 inhabitants. There is not more than a handful of houses and the chapel of the Holy Trinity to be seen there, but the village is surrounded by idyllic nature and offers its visitors a focal point for refreshment after hiking and cycling tours. The Kaiser brewery invites you with a rustic ambience and freshly tapped beer.
The brewery was founded almost 250 years ago. At that time, the property belonged to the castle and supplied not only the castle residents but also the surrounding villages with the finest beer. The tradition of home brewing also dates back to this time: If you have your own keg, you can bring it to the brewery every Tuesday and receive very fresh, young beer, which can then be stored and matured at home in your own cellar. Many breweries used to practice this beautiful custom, today there are only a few. In the Kaiser family, people appreciate their roots and Franconian hospitality is also part of it. In the comfortably furnished inn you can enjoy the finest beer and matching homemade specialties of the regional cuisine all year round. Festivities and events of all kinds take place regularly in the pretty hall and in summer the shady beer garden lures. In order to meet the demands of modern guests, the brewery not only has its tasty beer ready, but also charging stations for e-bike batteries.
The highlight of every visit to the brewery is of course the beer. The brewery brews according to traditional recipes and cultivates the Bavarian art of brewing with dedication and passion. The Kaiser range includes a number of classics, including an excellent Pilsner, a light wheat beer, some seasonal specialties and a hearty Urtrunk. In typical Franconian fashion, the beer is celebrated on several occasions throughout the year. Lent in spring is heralded by the tapping of strong beer, in early summer it continues with a boisterous wheat beer festival, in August there is a church fair, in all months that contain an "R" there is carp and a suitable beer and the bock beer tapping in November concludes this Festival year due. If you don't live nearby, you can organize a selection of Kaiser beers from us and try out the range on your own - it's definitely worth it!
