The traditional brewery Moosehead Breweries Limited is located in the beautiful and idyllic Canadian lake province of New Brunswick.
In addition to being Canada's oldest brewery, Moosehead Breweries Limited is the last major Canadian-owned brewery. In 1867, Susannah Oland laid the foundation for the brewery on the Dartmouth waterfront in Canada with the October Brown Ale. Six generations and over 150 years later, the Oland family continues to provide beer lovers across Canada and beyond with their specialty brews. The Oland family's passion for beer has kept the company alive for centuries. The brewery survived devastating fires, two world wars and Prohibition and made it what it is today - an institution for Canadian brewing tradition.
Moosehead Breweries Limited is now in its sixth generation, with the 7th generation beginning to learn the craft and carry on the family tradition. Generation after generation passes on the knowledge of brewing, creating the distinctive taste of Moosehead Breweries Limited beers. The product range of the traditional brewery ranges from classics, such as the Canadian lager, to modern beer specialties, such as the fruity, aromatic beer mix drinks from the Shaker series. Moosehead Breweries Limited definitely has something for everyone.
With a heritage stretching back more than 150 years of ups and downs, Moosehead Breweries Limited is a true icon of the North American beer industry.
