It has to be of quality, freshness and taste. That is the guiding principle of the Knoblach family and a principle that you can taste from their excellent beers!
The traditional Knoblach brewery is located in the Franconian Schammelsdorf, which most beer lovers should be familiar with from the Schammelsdorf Beer Days. In Franconia, the festivals are celebrated as they come and with the highest density of breweries in the world, you have to organize one or the other beer festival. With their beer, the Knoblachs are a highlight of the beer days year after year and an integral part of the local history of Schammelsdorf.
A real family business
The Knoblach family in Schammelsdorf not only cooks with a lot of love and according to Franconian recipes, the Knoblachs also brew their own beer. The Knoblach inn in Schammelsdorf has existed since 1880 and brewing has been going on there for about that long. Today Michael Knoblach is the resident master brewer and is passionate about training his children Elisa and Johannes to become the future managing directors of the inn and brewery. On the side, because the Franconian is actually responsible for the beer. The Knoblachs are deeply rooted in their homeland and maintain good contact with regional suppliers and farmers. As a member of the “Siegelbetrieb Region Bamberg” campaign, you attach great importance to preserving and actively promoting the diversity of the Bamberg region. For this purpose, the raw materials are, as far as possible, purchased exclusively from the region. This not only has the advantage of boosting the domestic economy, but is also reflected in the quality. The ingredients couldn't be fresher.
Tradition you can taste
In its beers, the Knoblach Brewery attaches great importance to the excellent quality of the raw materials and compliance with the Bavarian Purity Law. Classics such as lager or a light summer beer are brewed according to old Franconian recipes. No frills go into the kettle here, the honest beers of the Knoblachs are made from water, hops, malt and yeast. In addition to their brewery, the family runs a small distillery. Here Michael Knoblach conjures up liqueur specialties from local orchards, some of which even come from his own cultivation.
We appreciate the Knoblachs beers because of their down-to-earth character and the masterfully composed taste!
