Cool blondes can only be found in one form in the monastery: beer.
The Trappist monks from Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven are experts in beer. Brewing has been part of the daily work of the monks from the Soligny-La-Trappe order for centuries, and they have a correspondingly good command of the subject. There is a whole range of sophisticated recipes that are passed on from generation to generation, the blonde is one of them.
La Trappe Blond is a golden beer enjoyment in many ways: Not only does the brew shine in the most brilliant gold in the glass, it also tastes like that and has also been awarded gold medals several times in renowned national and international competitions. The Belgian ale is prepared with the classic ingredients water, hops, malt and yeast and after the brewing process is filled with an extra portion of yeast and a hint of sugar. The beer then matures in the bottles for a while and, thanks to a further fermentation, develops its deep, full-bodied and flavourful character. The aroma of the specialty beer ranges from soft, sweet malt tones through strong caramel and fruit notes to spicy yeast notes and inspires with subtly balanced harmony and a velvety mouthfeel. Tender acidity and a skilful hop bitterness round off the taste experience.
La Trappes Blonde is a prime example of Belgian sophistication and Dutch brewing art.
