The brewers at the Johannes Grasser brewery and inn take their beer seriously. Seriously, so to speak. Their fine creations are known and loved all over Germany under the name Huppendorfer Bier. The brewers know their craft and yet more than 200 years should pass before they dared to make a wheat beer. The classic has to fit perfectly, which is why months of testing and experimentation took place before the first wheat was launched. In the end, the workforce and customers were happy and the Hefeweizen could be included in the range. The fine beer has now been one of the brewery’s core selections for more than 20 years and one can rightly say that it has become extremely well established.

The light Huppendorfer wheat beer already gives us perfection in its appearance: a stately crown of snow-white, airy foam is enthroned on the yeast-cloudy golden body. The enticing scent skilfully continues the pleasure and scores with classic notes of ripe banana, sun-kissed corn, freshly baked bread and spicy cloves. The initial taste is wonderfully creamy and settles on the tongue like a velvety blanket of yeast braid, spices, banana, delicately roasted malt and white pepper. A tangy hint of lemony hops brings elegance and freshness to the aromas. The grand finale is a symphony of banana, citrus fruit and harmoniously balanced bitterness.
