At the moment they are springing up everywhere like mushrooms and seduce us with their dizzyingly high alcohol content and their Christmassy spices. We’re talking about winter beer, which is tapped by many breweries just in time for the first cold nights. The brews for the dark season are usually malty and present us with a sweet variety of pithy and caramel notes. Sometimes a handful of spice will give them an extra festive glow. We have absolutely nothing against these advent beers per se, but in the midst of the winter splendor we sometimes crave a change.

The Stone brewery understands this only too well and has put together a winter package that does not focus on the malt but on the hops. The masters of hopped IPAs have packed four of their most popular India Pale Ales into one package, so you don’t have to go without your extra helping of hops even in the depths of winter. The abundance of explosive fruit notes, resinous spiciness and strong bitterness keeps body and soul warm. And if that’s not enough, you can simply put on the hat that comes with it for free. The Stone Brewing beanie keeps you warm even in a snowstorm and makes you look pretty good doing it.
