The Knoblach brewery from Schammelsdorf is a traditional brewery that has been family-owned for several generations and places great value on quality, freshness and taste. Their range consists of handcrafted beers that do not require any frills or unusual ingredients.

An excellent example of the Knoblach family’s art of brewing and their passion for beer is their tasty Urlager. The traditional beer has an alcohol content of 5.3% and boasts a skilful balance of hops and malt. It represents the serenity and joie de vivre of the Franconians and is so delicious that you should buy a few bottles to be on the safe side.

The Schammelsdorfer delicacy flows into the glass in a warm honey tone and has a stately head of foam on the shimmering copper body. The scent of freshly baked bread rises from the densely pored white splendor and unites in the nose with herbal hops, wildflowers and gentle malt to form an enticing mixture. The first taste reveals a medium body with a silky mouthfeel and gently sparkling carbonic acid. An honest aroma of freshly baked stone oven bread with butter, sun-ripened grain, honey and caramel caresses the taste buds, while the crisp bitterness gives the beer contrast and structure.
