The coconut is an exotic fruit that grows on magnificent palm trees. Coconut palms with their sprawling fans often line paradisiacal beaches with white, fine sand and azure water. At such places one can buy a freshly harvested coconut and drink the refreshing coconut water straight from the fruit. Coconut milk is obtained from the shredded and pressed coconut meat and the dried rasps give savory and sweet dishes a tropical flair. However, we prefer to enjoy the coconut in a very special form: as beer.

A real hit among the varieties with coconut is Coco Haze from Novo Brazil. The Hazy India Pale Ale is brewed with coconut and puts you in the holiday mood with a decent 7.0% alcohol content and a full load of coconut flavor.

The seasonal beer specialty flows into the glass in a very cloudy sunny yellow and finishes with a handsome crown of white, fine-pored foam. A fine scent of freshly split coconut and delicate vanilla fills the air and makes you look forward to the first sip. This reveals a creamy, smooth mouthfeel and a soft, full-bodied body. A gentle sweetness of lightly roasted malt and coconut caresses the palate. A hint of vanilla and a fine, subtle hop bitterness complete the play of aromas.
