The Asian Pale Ale from Nøgne Ø is one of the more exotic examples in the wide range of the finest craft beers from the Norwegian brewery. Most beers are modern craft beer classics with a fresh twist, the same applies to the Asian Pale Ale: The 4.5% beer is a refreshing thirst quencher with a delicately balanced balance of hops and malt and a special special ingredient. A generous addition of freshly harvested lemongrass provides a holiday flair and fine citrus notes in taste and smell.

Lemongrass gives Asian dishes their tangy freshness and balances sharpness and hearty meat with elegant fruitiness. In the beer, the aromas of lemongrass harmonize wonderfully with the fine tartness and dry character of the pale ales. The brewers add the lemongrass in the final step of the fermentation. The result is a crunchy beer that becomes a real beer specialty thanks to the incomparable taste of aromatic lemongrass.

Nøgne Øs Asian Pale Ale flows into the glass in a dark amber tone and shines copper when exposed to light. The citrus-fresh scent makes you look forward to drinking pleasure and is a harbinger of the varied citrus notes in the taste: Lemon hop notes meet lemongrass and oven-fresh key lime pie on the palate. Tropical fruits and a bitterness reminiscent of green tea complete the taste profile.
