The Franconian dialect is not one that is characterized by its elegance and eloquence. Rather, the regional dialect sounds a bit harsh here and there, but overall cozy and leisurely. The Franks are generally known for their laid-back nature and hospitality. A wonderful example of Franconian rhetoric is the word Schlöbberla, which comes from the Forchheim area. It describes a fine drop that is so tasty and inviting that you want to swallow it in one big gulp. A real treat and the perfect name for the bottom-fermented country beer from Greif.

The brewery from Forchheim has a range of traditional beers ranging from Hellem and Zwickl to an excellent black beer . As a country beer, the Schlöbberla complements the selection with a tasty example that is malty and full-bodied.

The real Franconian beer specialty shows itself in a copper shimmering amber gold in the glass and rounds off its attractive appearance with a crown of dense-pored, pure white foam. The scent consists of oven-fresh bread, caramelized nuts and roasted malt and seduces with its powerful aromas to take the first sip. This and all the following ones caress the tongue with a soft malt bouquet that tastes of bread crust, sun-ripened grain, creamy caramel and raisins. A hint of cherry and some grassy hops harmoniously round off the beer enjoyment.
