The Lower Franconian community of Stettfeld is home to almost 1200 people. The place was first mentioned in 778 and has been celebrating its roots with a lively local culture ever since. Community has top priority in Stettfeld and is practiced every day. A driving force for events all year round is, for example, the Stettfeld village community. The non-partisan association makes a valuable contribution to the festival calendar and organizes, among other things, the Stettfeld Bear Days. This event takes place once a year and was organized for the first time in 1997.
For the festival, the residents of Stettfeld and their guests gather in the town center and spend a pleasant time with music, a procession, games and culinary delights. A highlight is the bear drink brewed especially for this occasion, which the local Adler-Bräu contributes.
The Stettfelder Bärentrunk is a strong black beer that scores with a pleasant 5.0% alcohol content and a tasty character. In the glass, the seasonal specialty presents itself in an opaque coffee black. A fine ruby red veil runs through the beer. An enticing scent of roasted cereals, caramel and dark fruits rises from the creamy ivory head. The velvety soft initial taste is similar to the first olfactory impression: strong roasted aromas with crisp bitterness, dark bread, cherry jam, chocolate and toffee.
