As the name suggests, the beer is dedicated to the LGBTTIQA* community. Together with the Berlin CSD eV, BrewDog created the Hoppy Pride, the proceeds of which are donated to initiatives in favor of the LGBTTIQA* community. To further engage all beer lovers, the Brewdog Hoppy Pride label design was chosen through an online vote. The rainbow pattern stands for the Pride Flag, i.e. the symbol for equality and acceptance of people who do not fit into the social norm because of their sexuality or because they do not identify with the traditional roles of women and men.

In order to send a clear signal against this kind of discrimination, the Hoppy Pride will remain in the BrewDog range on a permanent basis.

BrewDog describes the Hoppy Pride as "bright with attitude". The beer was brewed with six different aroma hops, including the varieties Cascade, Saphir and Simcoe. The different hop varieties enhance the otherwise classic light beer and make it a real pleasure to drink. Visually, it is light through and through: bright and clear with a radiant golden hue. In terms of taste, the Hoppy Pride convinces with fresh, flowery notes in the initial taste and orange in the finish. As usual for a light beer, the malt taste is clearly perceptible. All in all, the beer is a real asset to the entire BrewDog range.
