The light Zwickerla from Kundmüller is brewed with the Spalter Select and Perle hops. The result is a naturally cloudy Zwickel beer with a fine balance of hops and malt and a wonderfully spicy yeast note. The mild beer inspires with a round variety of flavors and is extremely tasty thanks to its subtle bitterness.
The Fränkisch Hell flows into the glass in slightly tarnished gold and is adorned with a stately crown of white, fluffy foam. A tantalizing scent of yeast, bread dough, freshly mown grass, sour fruit and flowery hops rises from the foamy splendor. The initial taste follows the first impression and presents a round beer with a strong body and feather-light hop elegance. The hops are playful and dance with notes of green apple, zesty lemon, freshly mown grass and beautiful flowery on the tongue. The malt contributes a gentle sweetness and caresses the palate with notes of roasted grain. The yeast rounds off the aromatic play.
By the way, on the label of the Zwickerlas you can see the senior boss of the Kundmüller brewery after doing a traditional job: Erwin cleaned the barrels before taking photos. Pichen is the technical term for sealing the barrels. For this purpose, all joints and small openings in the barrel surface are sealed with pitch. This process prevents carbon dioxide from escaping and the keg is easier to keep clean if the surface is smooth on the inside.
Cheers to tradition and craft!
