It is a long time since most of us erupted in enthusiastic cheering and ecstatic anticipation in the face of December 6th. St. Nicholas Day is a highlight of the festival year when you are still small and have parents who fill cleaned boots with treats and toys on behalf of the gentleman in the red coat.
