If you believe the Lehe Pruulikoda, life in Estonia is cloudy, juicy and bitter. As non-Estonians, we find it difficult to judge the veracity of this assumption. However, what we can judge is the beer that was inspired by Estonian life.

Loosely translated, Õhus on Hägu means something like “There is a risk of haze”. Interpreted freely, this could mean that a haze often hangs over Estonia, gently enveloping the country and its people. This suspicion is definitely confirmed in the beer of the same name: Õhus on Hägu flows into the glass in a heavily cloudy gold tone. A tantalizing scent of dry, white grapes, spicy pine resin and threshed grass rises from the fleeting head of foam. The dryness runs like a red thread through the drinking pleasure and complements the fruity notes of grapefruit, citrus fruit and pineapple. The malt provides a soft base that tastes like cookies. A creamy sweetness, a hint of pine needles and the clean, crunchy taste of fresh, green hop cones round off the play of aromas. The finish is wonderfully bitter and makes you thirsty for another Õhus on Hägu.
