Berry - licious!

The brewers of the American brewery Weyerbacher love European beers. They especially like the Belgian specialties. Having already released a Belgian triple called Merry Monks , another Belgian masterpiece follows. Berry Monks is a variation of the Belgian triple and is brewed with cranberries, orange peel and ginger. The beer, which is quite strong with 9.3% alcohol by volume, is bursting with seductive apple and pear notes, which go perfectly with the fruity acidity of the cranberries. The orange peel gives the beer a citrus-fresh twist, the ginger brings heat to the pleasure.

Berry Monks flows into the glass in a cloudy, copper-red amber tone and forms a beautiful head of foam, which is soft pink and quickly disappears again. In the nose, dried cranberries, spicy yeast, white grapes, honey and tangy citrus freshness combine to create an enticing fragrance. In terms of taste, Berry Monks is reminiscent of an elegant white wine. Lemon-fresh, white grapes meet pears and apples, delicate caramel malts round off the taste. Towards the finish, the dark tones pick up speed and send dried, red fruits, blood orange and black currant into the ring. Berry Monks has a moderate body and a lot of alcohol that occasionally shows presence.
