Although the inhabitants of Grimbergen Abbey in Belgium could well be described as unlucky, the monks preferred to name themselves after the phoenix. Her abbey has burned down three times over the last few centuries and was completely destroyed in the fire. Like the firebird, the monks rose from the ashes and rebuilt their homes each time. To this day, the men of God have kept their spirit of victory.

Instead of building houses, they now prefer to put their energy into beer. Under the golden wings of the phoenix, Grimbergen brews a small but fine selection of tasty beers. The range is based on the Belgian brewing tradition and offers a range of modern interpretations of the classics from their homeland.

Blonde is one of the most popular beers on offer. The brewery has already won international awards with the bright beauty: at European level there was bronze in the category "Belgian-inspired blonde ale" and the team won a gold medal in the global competition. The award-winning flavor is a luxurious harmony of ripe yellow fruit and the warm spiciness of cloves. In terms of smell, the noble drop scores with sun-ripened stone fruits, spices and honey, while the taste test presents notes of pineapple, liquorice, pear and cloves as well as a balanced balance of sweet and bitter notes.
