A flowery Berliner.
The Berlin brewery Schneeeule has dedicated itself to the renaissance of the once very popular Berliner Weisse beer style. Behind the wings of the white owl is Ulrike Genz, who is a master brewer with body and soul and who puts all of her skills and passion into the new edition of the disreputable beer. For a long time the Berliner Weisse was frowned upon by real beer lovers because it was only drunk with an addition of sweet syrup. The “chatting” didn’t go down well in the beer scene. Today the Weisse from the capital is experiencing a new hype: Numerous craft brewers took up the challenge to restore the Berliner Weisse to its old shine. The unpopular syrup was left out and Berliner Weisse brewed, which was drinkable without any sweetener.
Yasmin is one such example of the Berliner Weissen and receives a fine serving of jasmine blossoms instead of syrup. The white beauties give the sour beer an exotic note and balance the acidity with wonderful flowery. Lactic acid bacteria and very special yeasts also ensure a very special character and a playful lightness that makes Yasmin the perfect summer beer.
Snowy owl Yasmin is the color of sun-kissed straw in a glass and is wonderfully cloudy. A large amount of airy foam crowns the beer and smells of jasmine flowers and crisp, sour summer fruits. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression: Berliner Weisse delights with sparkling carbon dioxide and subtly balanced notes of vineyard peach, white gooseberries, green apples and jasmine blossoms.
