Some before them have already proven that cucumber and beer are a dream couple: For example, the Hertl brewery with its cucumber gose or Steamworks with the killer cucumber ale. Another cucumber beer follows from BRLO, which combines the fine freshness of green vegetables with the hoppy tartness of beer.
Cucumber Quench is a thirst-quenching lager based on both the Mexican and Viennese lager. Strange station wagon? Not at all! The malty character of the Viennese lager meets the refreshing lightness of the Mexican lager. The brewing process is completed by storing the finished beer on a puree made from cucumber. This step refines the beer with the unmistakable notes of fine cucumber and gives Cucumber Quench an additional kick of freshness.
The cucumbery brew shines in sunny gold, a fleeting veil of white foam rounds off the visual impression. On the nose, the unusual lager presents itself with subtly balanced notes of soft malt, juicy cucumber and lemony hops. This first impression continues in the taste: the slim body builds up with delicate malt notes and then plays tangy citrus notes and a feather-light cucumber aroma that goes wonderfully with the mild bitterness. The finish is crisp and bitter and makes you want another glass of beer with a cucumber touch.
