The Roppelt brewery is a traditional family brewery in the Franconian town of Stiebarlimbach. One of their most famous beers is the wheat beer, which inspires many beer lovers and us with its refreshing taste and excellent quality.

Their interpretation of the popular beer is a classic Hefeweizen, brewed from sun-ripened wheat, hops, yeast and water. The yeast and grain give the beer a wonderful freshness and its characteristic flavor, which is made up of creamy banana notes, soft malt and a hint of clove. The beer has a natural cloudiness and flows into the glass a cloudy yellow gold. A small crown of white foam sits enthroned on the beer. The brew delivers a gentle sweetness paired with moderate bitterness and an alcohol content of 4.9%. The Roppelt brewery attaches great importance to quality and sustainability. It obtains its malt and hops from the region and relies on gentle and environmentally friendly production. The Roppelts’ range wonderfully reflects the art of brewing in their homeland and their enthusiasm for beer.

Roppelt’s wheat beer goes well with many Franconian dishes. Of course, it tastes best with white sausages, pretzels and sweet mustard, but the wheat beer is also a true revelation with other hearty dishes such as pork knuckle or liver dumpling soup.
