The Altenburger brewery has a classic range: Helles, Bock, Pils and Co. are among the big names in the German beer landscape and are the favorites of the Germans. The tasty creations go perfectly with the regional cuisine and complement hearty dishes wonderfully. The Altenburger brewery comes from the town of the same name in Thuringia and brews beers that complement roast sausages with sauerkraut, roulades with dumplings and red cabbage, roast roasts or roast beers. With their well-balanced harmony of hops and malt, the down-to-earth brew pieces perfectly complement the aromas of hearty dishes and also taste pretty good on their own.

To round out their selection, the brewers recently released a cellar beer. This traditional style of beer complements the range perfectly. The recipe for the classic comes from Karl: Karl was one of the first master brewers in the brewery and developed a fine cellar beer that has not lost its relevance to this day. His interpretation is skillfully balanced and scores with a full-bodied body and an abundance of soft malt notes.

The cellar beer presents itself in a shiny gold tone in the glass and is crowned with an airy charge of snow-white foam. The initial taste is silky smooth and ensnares the palate with aromatic cereal notes. A fresh touch of hops provides a contrast and a subtle bitterness that goes perfectly with the mild sweetness of the malt.
