Even if the real crowd favorite at Mahrs Bräu is the untapped beer , the light doesn’t have to hide behind it. The southern style of beer is extremely popular in the entire lower half of Germany and the people of Bamberg also like it very much. The example from Mahrs is refined with the hop varieties Herkules and Mittelfrüh from the Hallertau and brings a pleasant 4.9% alcohol content to the table.

The uncomplicated, easy-to-drink brew has been on the winner’s podium at one or two international competitions and won over the jurors of renowned competitions with its honest, down-to-earth and balanced character. With a skilful hand, his brewers have perfectly balanced malt depth and hop kick, sweetness, bitterness and tartness, freshness and creaminess and created a beer that is simply good.

Mahrs Helles is exactly like that. Golden with a creamy foam head, pithy with caramel, freshly baked bread, honey, fragrant hay, roasted cereals and a grassy, citrus-fresh hint of hops. The ideal accompaniment to fish, light Mediterranean cuisine, salads and young cheese.
