Blanche de Namur is an award-winning wit from Brasserie Du Bocq. The fine brew borrows its name from the noblewoman of the same name, who was born in the 1420s. Blanche came from a Belgian noble family and was married to the King of Sweden and Norway at the age of fifteen. The young queen moved to her new home with bag and baggage and took an active part in the government of her realm. She was the first in a long line of queens to play more than a representative role alongside their husbands.

In her honor, the Belgian brewery Brasserie Du Bocq brews a fine Wit. Inspired by the wise queen and her gentle disposition, the brewers have created a beer that impresses with its mild character, well-rounded flavor and the tangy freshness of coriander and orange zest.

The blond beer flows into the glass in a heavily cloudy amber-gold and is adorned with a dense-pored head of foam. Fun fact: Thanks to a phenomenon called colloidal haze, the haze in beer disappears as soon as it warms up a bit. A delicate scent of juicy oranges and freshly harvested coriander leaves fills the air and seduces with light malt to drink. This follows the first impression and scores with fruity acidity, hints of herbs and a silky-soft texture.
