Oranges are fruits that conjure up the sun on your tongue. Its cheerful appearance already puts us in a good mood when the orange is still hanging on the tree. Countless bright fruits emerge from dark green foliage, the sun has colored them golden with the last rays of the year. If you harvest the bulging globes and peel the still warm skin, you will be rewarded with juicy pleasure for your effort.
The Nuremberg brewers from Orca Brau are fans of tropical fruits and express their love with a wonderful beer. Shades of Orange is already in its third edition. Each brew revolves around a different variety of citrus gold. The fruit for the beer comes from Naranjas del Carmen from Valencia, the world capital of oranges. The farm follows a so-called crowd farming concept: Friends and supporters around the world can sponsor one or more trees and thus finance its care throughout the year. When harvest time comes, the godparents receive the fruits of their plants.
Orca Brau has adopted some trees on the estate. They brew the latest version of Shades of Orange with Navel Lane Late, a particularly late variety that hangs on the tree well into winter and also catches the last rays of sunshine of the season.
